We recently delivered five 13.5-meter heavy-duty flatbed semi-trailers to a logistics company in Freetown, Sierra Leone. These trailers were specially designed for West Africa’s hot, rainy climate and challenging road conditions, featuring reinforced steel frames and heavy-duty suspension systems to ensure reliability in harsh operating environments. After obtaining local vehicle certification, the units were shipped to Freetown Port via bulk carrier and delivered one week ahead of schedule.
Operational data shows excellent performance on the Freetown-Bo ore transport route. The spacious, flat loading platform is ideal for bulk cargo transportation, while the optimized ground clearance effectively handles rough terrain. The customer particularly noted the trailers’ stable performance even during muddy rainy-season conditions. We have since received inquiries from two other local transport companies.
This project provided valuable insights into West Africa’s demand for cost-effective heavy transport solutions. To enhance after-sales support, we are establishing a maintenance service station with local partners and developing improved models tailored for Francophone markets. This successful delivery establishes a strong foundation for our continued expansion in West Africa.
